Hello!! My name is Corey Ricks. I am an aspiring graphic designer from Virginia. After high school graduation, I plan on attending Virginia Commonwealth University for Graphic Design and Marketing. My hobbies include graphic design, collecting music, traveling, and painting. I have had experience with graphic design for about 3 years. Every project I create has intention, creativity, and passion behind it. I want to carry my skill set to VCU to extend my knowledge on not just graphic design, but me as a person. I have helped with countless school events and campaigns with designing, marketing strategies, and more. I have had the pleasure of being a part of several clubs and organizations. One such organization is the Future Business Leaders of America, where I have been a member for a couple of years. Through my involvement with this group, I have been fortunate enough to receive numerous accolades at the regional, state, and national levels for my skills in design and business. I love music. My dream is to work as a graphic designer/creative director in the music and entertainment industry. My work would involve packaging design, marketing, music video direction, and more. I know the road will be bumpy and I will make mistakes but I am going into this experience with an open mind. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.
